Each year Kick Music receive close to 1000 demos and we're pleased.

But since we only release around 10 - 15 CDs a year, most of the demos won't make it. The bellow-mentioned is a help for you and us to respond quickly and efficiently.

This is a guide on how we would like to receive demos from you - other labels may have other demo policies. Read it through before you send anything, and you are in a better position.

Guide

• Demo material must always be sent by mail to Kick Music as a CD or MC (you can deliver it personally at our address) - address in the bottom of the page.


• Not-usable formats: Mini-Disc, DAT and other less used formats.


• We never listen to the demo while the artist is present.


• Music sent digitally via email (MP3) or as links at websites will be ignored!


• Make sure the return address is correct! Material with no return address will be ignored.


• Choose carefully what you send, think about how you would judge a new artist.


• Please enclose as much as material as possible - music, photos, biography, the age of members, web addresses etc. - the more we got to judge the better.


• Please check out Kick Music's profile, would your music fit our firm?


• You might want to address the 'sub-label', where you think your music would be best represented. (Look at the discription further down the page).


• Kick Music's demo department will listen to all received material - preferable within 1 to 2 weeks and get back as fast as possible with a response.


• Requests regarding feedback on posted demo material can be done on the phone or even better by email - demo@kick.dk


• If you want to inform us about gigs and news, please do it only through the proper email address: demo@kick.dk - other mails will be ignored!


• If you already have sent out a demo-single, EP or album to everybody in the Danish music media, it will NOT increase your chances of a deal! Previous recordings/interest of your material is old news, if Kick Music should be interested - then send the material to us first!!!
